Qualifications

I hold a BA in English Literature and Language and a BEd in Secondary Education from the University of British Columbia, with an IB Teaching Certificate for English. I also earned the CELTA from the University of Cambridge.

Teaching Approach

Curiosity first, inspired by Sir Ken Robinson: students ask questions and connect ideas. Critical engagement: we discuss, question, and write together. Visible growth: I use project-management methods so students and parents can see weekly progress.

My goal is to equip students with skills that stay useful—whether for exams, university, or a world shaped by new technologies.

Experience and Outcomes

I have been teaching online since 2017, working with learners from age 4 to mid-40s; most are in Canadian and U.S. high schools, including AP and IB programs.

Many students have been admitted to leading universities in Canada, the United States, and Asia. Others have made major gains on exams such as the SAT and IELTS through structured preparation.
